DISABILITY
SNOWSPORT UK

Holmlands have a long established relationship with Disability Snowsport UK (DSUK); Britain's leading snowsports charity.

DSUK work to make sure that anyone can ski or snowboard alongside people of able-bodied ability, creating an even playing field for anyone with a learning, sensory or physical disability.

They are a membership organisation, and welcome anyone of any level of skiing and fitness, catering for complete novices to snowsports, all the way to experienced Armed Forces men and women.

Holmlands help to promote DSUK's great work through our public relations, video production, photography and social; media services. We also use our own events series to raise awareness of the charity, in addition to fundraising through various initiatives.

Our Founder, Cameron Hall was also appointed as PR Advisor to the board in February 2022, providing strategic insight to the CEO and board of trustees.

In 2022 we helped develop and launch the #SkiBay4DSUK campaign - encouraging people to list their unloved and unwanted outdoor clothing and equipment on eBay, with a percentage donation from each sale going directly towards the charity. We enlisted the help of Ski Sunday presenter Ed Leigh and gained the support of eBay for Charity as we designed the campaign from concept to press release writing, media outreach, campaign video production, campaign photography and athlete endorsements.

Our work has helped secured meaningful and impactful press coverage for the charity through developing and placing inspiring human interest stories, establishing regular thought leadership columns, and delivering coverage to promote world record breaking attempts and various fundraising initiatives.

Since February 2024, we have taken over full PR, communications and social media management for the charity working closely together with their inhouse team.

To date we have climbed mountains, participated in fun runs, triathlons and more, with 10% of profits from our charity clothing range donated directly to DSUK.

The Paralympic athletes we represent have all benefited from the support of DSUK in their careers and through our work together - we also help to spread the good word of the vital and important work of the organisation.
